Abstract
Football heroes and heroines are figures who are celebrated for their on-field courage, skill, and achievements, as well as representing abstract ideals and cultural values which connects them to supporters. The concept of heroism in football has been transformed by the global mass media which have become the primary vehicle to the lives of sport stars, and links them to a wider world of entertainment and celebrity culture. They are among the most recognized individuals on the planet.
