About me
I am a Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education in the Faculty of Social Sciences, with a specialism in Physical Education. Alongside this I Lecture in Sport in the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, with a specialism in Sport Development and Coaching as well as Sport and Exercise Psychology. Previous to this I was a P.E and Pastoral Care teacher in schools across Scotland. I held leadership positions in Hockey, Tennis, Curriculum Development and whole school events. My professional career interests include pedagogy, mentoring, health and wellbeing and sport psychology. In 2023 I began an MSc in Sport Psychology and have represented Scotland in Touch Rugby for 12 years and Hockey for 2 years. I have a passion for sport, social identity theory, the holistic development of individuals and continue to develop my knowledge in these areas.
