Abstract
The series editor's preface introduces Ardavan Arzandeh's monograph on forum non conveniens in England - the first such monograph. It highlights the skilful modern legal historical analysis of this development from the 1880's borrowing from Scots law and academic writers. It commends for serious consideration Arzandeh's proposal to restrict the justice exception to forum non conveniens to cases which would otherwise lead to a violation of Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights.
