Abstract
First paragraph: Before reading the third edition of Deconstructing Developmental Psychology (DDP), I considered how it would differ from the first and second editions (1994 and 2008) and how it might further inform my own work, the work of developmental psychologists, and social science researchers whose research affects the lives of children or centralises the lived experiences of children. In this review, I draw on my experience using DDP as a core teaching text for psychology undergraduates and as a central place of reference for my own doctoral research and counselling practice.
