Mrs Katie Illingworth

I have worked part-time for the University of Stirling since September 2023. I also work as a part-time History and Modern Studies teacher in East Ayrshire and as an Associate Tutor in the School of Education at the University of Glasgow.

My current scholarship interests are: History and Modern Studies curriculum development; the neurosequential model in education and trauma-informed classroom practice; social justice and citizenship in education; the professional development of NQTs post-ITE.

Alongside Professor Sally Foster, I am developing an educational resource which incorporates her recent research on the fragments of the Stone of Scone.

I currently teach on second year education modules E3 and E4.
