Abstract
Introducing a special issue on Caribbean-Scottish Passages for the International Journal of Scottish Literature, Robinson and Sassi outline the emerging connections in the fields of Caribbean and Scottish Studies. Surveying history, art, literary criticism, biography and creative writing, the authors identify the importance of colonialism in this complex of transatlantic relationships, and point to the possibility of a set of contemporary cultural concerns beyond slavery.
