Abstract
First paragraph: Asthma is a major chronic health problem internationally (Masoli et al. 2004). This paper by Rydstrom et al. (2005) is useful in helping nurses to understand better the full impact of asthma on the lives of their patients as it investigates quality of life in three domains: symptoms, restricted activity and emotions including fear and anxiety.
