Abstract
The article presents the reply of John Paley to the comments of Barbara Pesut regarding his article "Spirituality and nursing: a reductionist approach." Paley noted that the comments of Pesut on an earlier draft that prompted significant revision. He noted that Pesut does not appreciate the cancelling of the gratuitous assertations where she implied with certainty that a spiritual realm does not exist
