Abstract
First paragraph: Struggle between methodologies, or Methodenstreit, is a ditinctive feature of hard times. When resources are scarce, the criteria for their allocation among research programs enjoy a high profile. Further, economic orthodoxy must formulate responses to charges of inadequacy in the face of economic crises for which no magic solutions are found.
