Abstract
Reports the progress of a study being carried out to assess the attitudes of 61 adult polycystic kidney disease (APKD) patients (aged 17–74 yrs) toward genetic counseling and the diagnosing of asymptomatic relatives. It is noted that the psychological and social implications of early identification of APKD in younger patients are being monitored
