Abstract
This article offers a critical examination of the thoughts of Simone Weil from the perspective of spiritual theology. Most researches on Weil focus on her systematic or philosophical thoughts on one hand, or her mystical practice on the other. This article, however, suggests that her interpretation of the God-human relationship as a kind of spirituality which can not be separated from spiritual exercise. On the basis of her understanding of God, Weil maintained that Christians should fulfill the self-emptying love in their everyday lives, in terms of the kenosis of Jesus Christ. The goal of this fulfillment is to let God love himself and to arrive at the union between God and man.
