Abstract
First paragraph: Do e-cigarettes help people stop smoking? This is the focus of a new systematic review by Malas and colleagues. 1 They searched the available peer-reviewed literature up to February 2016 and identified 62 papers, concluding that most studies found a positive relationship between the use of e-cigarettes and smoking cessation, particularly in alleviating cravings and smoking withdrawal symptoms. However, they point out that the quality of studies was low or very low and thus the evidence was inconclusive. What are the implications of this for future research?
