Abstract
First paragraph: Several times a day with the flick of a wrist, a one-word reminder—move—flashes across the screen on wearables worn by people from all walks of life. Wearable activity trackers (WATs) are now part and parcel of how we monitor our everyday physical activity—and with good reason. Evidence shows that WATs are reliable ways of tracking how much we move1 and can positively influence our exercise behaviour
