Abstract
First paragraph: New Scots considers what impact migrant communities have had on Scotland since 1945. Devine and McCarthy offer a timely insight into immigration, identity and xenophobia in post referenda Scotland. It is the first volume in the Studies in Scottish and Irish Migration series, a collection which will explore Scotland and Ireland's changing patterns of migration since 1600. The work brings together contributions from scholars immersed in migration studies from a range of disciplines including; history, sociology, criminology and political science.
