Abstract
This chapter focuses on how Diane, as a person living with dementia, and her husband Dave were encouraged to define and socially construct their own ‘lived neighbourhood’. The participatory case study work used a variety of narrative and storytelling methods to empower the couple to define the characteristics of their neighbourhood and the spaces, places and people that were meaningful to ageing-in-place. The final product of this endeavour helps to extend thinking on the relational and biographical properties of a neighbourhood.
