Abstract
First paragraph: This topic was last discussed in January 1989.' The Council took the decision establishing a Court of First Instance of the European Communities on 24 October 1988. Consequential amendments were made to the Rules of Procedure of the Court of Justice of the European Communities on 7 June 1989. These amendments prescribe the procedure for appeals against decisions of the Court of First Instance of the European Communities. The Court of First Instance became fully operational in the autumn of 1989.
