Abstract
This article reports on the changing nature of employment andemployability for high-tech workers in Scotland over the lastdecade. A somewhat stagnated industry has led to extrinsicrewards such as a good work–life balance, being prioritisedover creative work and skills development. The sector is nowdominated by small, specialist organisations providing limitedtraining for the few remaining graduates
