Mark's research, scholarship and knowledge exchange areas are through continued work/contributions to/with –

i. The ITE Knowledge Exchange Group for Numeracy & Mathematics (Education Scotland)

ii. The National Numeracy Network Team (Education Scotland)

iii. The Early Career Teacher Professional Learning for Numeracy & Mathematics (Education Scotland)

iv. Young Enterprise and Financial Education – through YES, creating school and community links, creating/embedding student ‘Financial Education Ambassadors’ (Young Enterprise Scotland).

v. The Universities ITE mathematics group – supporting and feeding into the National Response to Improving Mathematics and the ‘curriculum improvement cycle.’

vi. Financial Literacy Project - working with a range of practitioners, academics, and stakeholders from a variety of settings, backgrounds, and locations to support this work and represent the needs and aspirations of all our children and young people (supporting and feeding into the ‘curriculum improvement cycle’).

vii. The ITE Knowledge Exchange and being part of the ‘Strategic Framework’ team for ‘Parental Involvement, Parental Engagement, Family Learning and Learning at Home,’ culminating in the launch and on-going trialling of this new framework.

viii. Bridge: a Mind-sport’ project – with a focus on promoting and developing key skills, especially in relation to numeracy/mathematics and health & wellbeing.
