The NIHR Public Health Policy Research Unit is a collaboration between six academic centres in the UK, set up to meet the policy research needs of the Department of Health and Social Care, from policy development through to implementation and evaluation. The six collaborators are: London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; University of York; Institute of Population Health Sciences at the University of Liverpool; Centre for Diet and Activity Research (CEDAR) at the University of Cambridge; Institute of Health and Society at University of Newcastle; and Institute for Social Marketing and Health at the University of Stirling.
