Innovation Voucher: Huli Route Matching

Funded by Scottish Funding Council.

Huli have implemented a route generator for outdoor activities such as cycling, that will make a route with particular characteristics (e.g. length in km, timing, locations, height climbed). The challenge is developing an approach to matching generated routes to a target route profile. This would allow a customer to specify a course from anywhere in the world, and find something approximating that (at least in terms of characteristics like those above) in their locality.

This Innovation Voucher will develop a proof of concept of three technologies for the platform:

  • apply Dynamic Time Warping to match routes in on the basis of distance and height climbed profiles
  • explore feature construction techniques
  • potential for larger scale route generation and optimisation approach

Total award value £5,000.00
