Innovation Voucher: Mindstream connect

Mindstream Connect aims to develop a web platform to help people navigate the complementary and alternative medicine sector; a Tripadvisor for CAM therapies. This Innovation Voucher will develop a proof of concept of three technologies for the platform:

• apply a visual multicriteria decision support tool based on parallel coordinates to help a person explore the therapies based on multiple metrics
• generate a visualisation showing which therapies are similar to each other in a multidimensional space (including treatment methods and setting, acceptance by medical establishment, correlation to beliefs and scepticism based on consumer interviews, cost)
• apply off-the-shelf sentiment analysis tool to score each therapy on the basis of text in consumer survey feedback
