About me
I am a medical doctor with a masters in Regenerative Economics undertaking a PhD on ecological health and local food networks under the supervision of Dr Tony Robertson. Our work aims to assess how a Relational Determinants of Health view would transform food systems, working with the microbiome as a witness to structural violence. and a possible indicator of ecological health equity.
My work alongside the PhD has assessed the health equity impacts of international trade with Prof Alison McCallum. Through policy analysis, we have shown barriers and opportunities for achieving global vaccine equity, using COVID-19 vaccination as a case study to assess trade policymaking as a Commercial Determinant of Health. We now hope to collaborate on a critical One Health policy process for Global Public Goods in trade agreements.
