About me
I have over 23 years of industry experience within both education and national governing bodies. By the age of 24, I established and developed a community amateur sports club, Abbey Flyers Trampoline Club. The club fast became one of the leading performance clubs in Great Britain, which also provided extensive grass roots recreational activity Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
In recent years I have produced some of the UK's top trampoline athletes including double Olympic medallist, World and European Champion Bryony Page. My contributions within the coaching industry have been recognised by a number of prestigious accolades, including South Yorkshire Sport Young Coach of the Year 2007, runner up Sports Coach UK National Young Coach of the Year 2007, Elite Coach of the Year at the 2010 South Yorkshire Sport awards and British Gymnastics Outstanding Coach of the Year 2011.
In addition to my Masters degree in Advanced Coaching Practice, I am also a Level 6 British Gymnastics International Performance Coach & Master Coach.
Research
I have a keen interesting in High Performance Sport and High Performance Coaching practices. Sport development and sport structures are also key areas of interest as well as enterprise within sport coaching.
Teaching
I have taught and assessed on 8 different modules, which include SPSU8FD Foundations of Sport Development, SPSU9RP Major Project, SPSU9DC Developing Coaching, SPSU9PP Professional Practice, and have served as module coordinator for three modules: SPSU9D5 Excellence in Sport, SPSU9CS Coaching Sport, and SPSU8PL Coaching Physical Literacy.
