Sensory plasticity in a socially plastic bee

I am a BBSRC Discovery fellow working on the evolutionary drivers and consequences of mating system change in beneficial insects.
My work combines laboratory and field experiments, phylogenetic analyses and molecular techniques. I want to know why animals have sex, how they find mates, how many times they mate, and who they mate with. I also want to know what the consequences of these decisions are for the success of individuals and the survival of populations.
