About me
Nicola is a second-year PhD researcher funded by the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities. Her doctoral project looks at the emergent trends in the publishing ecosystem as a result of digital technologies and digital field migration from social media platforms. The project explores the intersection between contemporary book publishing and social media environments to better understand how creative activities on social media platforms transform publishing practices.
Nicola previously graduated with an MLitt in Publishing Studies from the University of Stirling and an MA in English Literature from the University of St Andrews. Following this she worked within the publishing industry in Scotland, aiding in editorial, marketing and sales departments, and continues to work on freelance editorial and proofreading projects.
