About me

I am interested in nature-based solutions for climate change mitigation and adaptation. My MSc dissertation used ecological accounting and environmental economics to evaluate Scotland's biocapacity, carbon footprint implications of peatland degradation and economic cost-effectiveness of peatland restoration in Scotland. My PhD aims to build the evidence base for nature-based solutions by evaluating the bio-physical and economic potential for nature-based coastal adaptation in Scotland’s rural coasts.

Research

Nature-based solutions, coastal adaptation, natural capital and ecosystem services, ecological economics, land use and climate policy.
