About me
I am a final-year doctoral researcher in Publishing Studies, working in collaboration with trade organisation Publishing Scotland and publisher HarperCollins to examine the last five decades of the publishing industry in Scotland. My project is fully funded by the University of Stirling, with contributions from the industry partners.
I previously graduated with an MSc in Publishing with Distinction from Edinburgh Napier University and a BA in English Language and Literature with Distinction (and a Certificate in Academic Writing) from Queen’s University (Canada). My teaching and marking experience includes TA positions at both Stirling and Queen’s.
Outside of academia, I work as a digital marketing officer for Publishing Scotland and its subsidiary organisation Scottish Books International. I also freelance for a number of publishers and book trade organisations, including independent educational publisher Bright Red Publishing.
