Examining policy options to manage the impact of Covid-19 restrictions on licensed premises and ambulance-call outs in Scotland

Funded by Chief Scientist Office.

Collaboration with University of Glasgow.

This rapid research study has three elements: interviews in May/June 2020 with trade and other licensing stakeholders about expectations for upcoming re-opening of premises. Participant observations of venue operation, customer and staff behaviour upon venue reopening in July and August 2020, and analysis of ambulance call-outs before and after the UK national lockdown in April to June 2020.
