Talks for students
We can come to schools and colleges to talk to students on a number of different topics, these are all designed to meet your needs. The talks we currently offer are:
Study in Scotland
This session provides students with information about studying in Scotland, what to expect from the Scottish higher education system, how this might be different from the rest of the UK, student life and information about the University of Stirling.
Choosing and applying to university
We talk students through the factors they should consider when choosing which university to study at and what course to pick. The presentation also covers the UCAS application process.
Personal statements
We provide an overview of the personal statement, how this is used by university admissions teams, what to include and how to stand out from the crowd.
Student life
This session provides information on student life at a Scottish university, it will provide insight into the flexibility of the Scottish system and what to expect from life at the University.
Academic sessions
We are able to offer sessions in a range of different areas to provide insight into the subject and an understanding of what it would be like to complete a degree in this subject.
Workshops for Scottish Colleges
We run a range of workshops for Scottish students studying at colleges across Scotland including:
- subject specific visit afternoons for HNC/HND students
- individual class visits for SWAP Access students
- transition/study skills workshops
