Studying Environmental Science and Outdoor Education at the University of Stirling has been fantastic for meeting like-minded people who love the outdoors as much as I do.

The opportunity to undertake training and assessment for our Summer Mountain Leadership award within the degree programme is a huge bonus – it’s been hard work, but the qualification is a great addition to your CV and skill set.

I particularly like the mix of science and outdoor education as it makes for an interesting and varied four years. Personally, I enjoy the practical elements most, whether that’s leading team building for rowdy 10 year olds or out on field work identifying species on a salt marsh.

Stirling also provides a fantastic base for exploring all Scotland has to offer, be that be bike, foot or kayak.
