BA (Hons) International Management Studies with European Languages and Society
United Kingdom
The main reason that I decided to study at the University of Stirling was due to the prospect of being able to combine both French, Spanish and international business. I always had a passion for languages, and I knew that I wanted to work in an international setting.
One of the highlights of the course was the possibility of spending time in both a Spanish and French-speaking country. I spent eight months teaching as an English Language Assistant in Huelva, Spain where I lived and worked with Spaniards. By living and working with natives, I significantly improved my Spanish-speaking skills. I also had the opportunity to live in Strasbourg, France where I studied French modules such as leadership, organisational dynamics, business and an introduction to grape and wine knowledge. Both experiences not only greatly improved my linguistic capabilities but also helped me to develop a global mindset which I have taken forward into my career.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking to develop their language skills, knowledge of the global business environment and cross-cultural awareness.
