BA (Hons) Criminology and Sociology

Stirling really appealed to me as I grew up in small towns and appreciated that everything I would need was on campus. In particular, I was worried about going from one end of a city to the other to get to my first class on the first day of uni and at Stirling that wasn't an issue at all.
The main thing at attracted me to a degree in Criminology was that Stirling offered the chance to study it alongside sociology, politics, law or social policy. I chose to study Criminology and Law, but due to the huge flexibility at the University I decided in my second year to change to Criminology and Sociology and I had absolutely no problems doing this. My favourite part about the course has been the variety of topics covered, I have taken modules ranging from Criminal Law to Social Stratification and I've been able to get a taste of the many different career paths that can be pursued with this degree. For this reason I would absolutely recommend a degree in Criminology at the University.
