Kirsty Brown

An experienced tax specialist and a trade union organiser, Kirsty decided to transform her career.

“I completed the Access to Science course as I wanted to pursue a career in Ecology or other related fields. I felt quite hemmed into my tax career; it was something I had pursued for financial stability. I wanted to do something that inspired me and gave me a greater sense of purpose.

“During my time studying at the Access to Science Degree course, I enjoyed being taught by learning professionals who really loved what they were doing and genuinely wanted to support mature students on their journey.

“The Access Course impacted my career prospects, giving me access to a very relevant degree which will open up prospects in the environmental sector.”
