MSc Media Management
China
I studied for an MSc in Media Management in 2016.
I chose to study at the University of Stirling because of its great reputation, the University has consistently ranked highly for Communication and Media in the UK and many professors and lecturers work within the media industry.
Now I’m working in Germany as a Business Developer and a Media Specialist. I provide advice to a European brand who wants to attract the Chinese market, creating the business strategy and helping them to build their brand awareness in China.
At Stirling, you can learn all the media related topics that you are interested in. For example, film, music and advertisement. You will also have the chance to visit the BBC, the Scottish Parliament and the V&A Dundee. The business options are a special feature of the MSc Media Management. They are very helpful and provide you with a basic understanding of how international businesses work, which could give you an advantage when you look for a job and in your future career.
Outside the regular curriculum, I joined some societies, for example, the Game of Thrones Society and the Comic Society. I also really enjoyed the pub quiz night at the local club, even though questions were difficult for me as a foreigner, I felt it was a good way to relax after studying.
It was not difficult for me to make friends, despite everyone being a little shy to begin with, by the end of my studies I made many friends through the societies I joined and the study group I was part of.Studying at the University of Stirling is a wonderful experience, you will definitely not regret it.
