Hannah's Story
The University’s location and the course structure of the MSc Environmental Management programme convinced Hannah Limberger to study at Stirling.
"My undergraduate degree in Environmental Conservation got me hooked – encouraging me to improve my understanding of the natural environment. I started looking at Masters courses and, at Stirling, I found a programme that would help develop my knowledge and provide me with the skills and experience required to fulfil my career goals.
"My course has provided me with the knowledge and experience I need to pursue a career in environmental management.
"Thanks to my lecturers, I have been able to build a network of contacts and have found my preferred specialism for the future."
During her Masters, Hannah – from Hilton, Derbyshire – enjoyed an "incredible" field trip to Gabon, where she learned about national park management, conservation and research.
The 25-year-old also made the most of her spare time in Stirling, explaining: “I explored the surrounding area and embraced Scottish mountains. I developed my love for mountain biking, hiking and photography and also got involved with a local conservation voluntary organisation.”
Hannah – who praised the student support offered at the University – described her time in Stirling as “enlightening, active and fulfilling”. She is now hoping to find employment in the conservation industry and may return to education in the future.
