Cameron Thomson

Having spent two years in college studying Television Production, I wasn't certain that I wanted to commit to working solely in this industry. I also had a great interest in business, and at the university's open day I learned that it was possible for students to study joint degrees. The University of Stirling enabled me to get the best of both interests by allowing me to study Business Studies as well as Film & Media. The beautiful campus and sporting facilities were also additional attractions. Through studying at Stirling, my academic skills improved greatly. I became more confident in my studies and also in independent work. I really enjoyed the social aspects of living on campus for two years where I met many friends that I will have for life. I became more confident in my presentation skills and am now much more comfortable interacting in different situations in either face to face conversations or with a larger audience. In the world of business and film and media, this is a valuable asset. The skills I have gained at Stirling will be the foundations of my career and feel many pathways will be made available to me.
