Calum Archibald
BSc (Hons) Applied Mathematics
Scotland
The range of topics that are offered for my degree and the ability to study other areas than mathematics first attracted me to study at the University of Stirling.
Studying at Stirling gave me the opportunity to see if I would enjoy studying another subject area but my love for maths was greater so I am focusing on this subject now.
What I like more about the course is the fact that there is an open door policy. If I ever felt I needed help, I knew who and where to go to.
I think my studies have developed me so much as a person. I am more confident and find I can tackle any problem given to me.
With potentially wanting to study a PhD at Stirling it is great that I have the opportunity to get experience in research as I’m doing over the summer. This is a chance for me to practice what I have learnt in my degree and use it in real world situations.
