Alan Waddell

After successfully graduating from the Access Course, Alan achieved a 2:1 in BA English Studies before completing PDGE in Secondary Education and becoming a teacher. 

Alan now works as a Student Recruitment Manager (Scotland & Widening Participation) at the University of Stirling, supporting people in accessing Higher Education. 

“The Access course provided me with a route to my chosen degree as I did not achieve the qualifications I required at school. I have now completed the full circle and returned to the university to support people, like me, from Scotland and Widening Participation backgrounds, hoping to access Higher Education."
