About
Pam is Head of Student Skills and Employability (SSE). The service incorporates the Student Learning Services team (SLS), the Careers team, and the Work-based-Learning (WBL) team. SSE deliver central services directly to students and work in partnership with faculties to embed academic literacy, career management skills and work-based learning into the curriculum.
Pam is an experienced strategic and operational manager within Higher Education with a focus on managing projects and teams in relation to the development of employability, career management skills, work-based learning, business engagement and academic literacy. Her portfolio of skills includes change management; resource management; strategic planning; impact evaluation; project management; research; and quality improvement.
Pam completed her MBA at University of Stirling in 2012, her Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance from University of Strathclyde in 1987 and an MA in Modern History and Politics from University of Edinburgh in 1986. Pam has worked in higher education, local authorities, the third sector and private sector in various roles. She started working for University of Stirling in 1993. She is a member of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS).
Pam is also a member of the University Court.
