About
Lynsey joined the University of Stirling in 2023 in the new role of Head of Work Based Learning having spent over 20 years working in the education sector in various roles including marketing and recruitment, CPD, executive education programme management and the development and delivery of work based graduate and degree apprenticeship programmes.
Lynsey particularly enjoys engaging externally with businesses and partners to facilitate bridging the gap between academia and industry for the benefits this brings to both.
Lynsey’s role is cross-institutional and works to identify, promote, and support ways in which work based learning can be embedded into the curriculum across all our faculties and how we can engage our students with the business community during their studies. This work based learning supports our students to obtain real world experiences during their studies, enabling them to develop their skills and professional behaviours alongside their academic knowledge, ensuring work ready graduates.
Lynsey previously studied at the University of Strathclyde completing her BA (Hons) Marketing in 2001 and MBA in 2018 and she is an Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) member.
