About
Lauren graduated with a BA Hons in Human Resource Management from the University of Stirling in 2005. After working in the financial services industry for 3 years she returned to Stirling to join the Careers Service in September 2008 as a Careers Assistant. Lauren then studied for the Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development at the University of the West of Scotland part-time over 2 years, completing it in 2011. She began her current role as a Careers Consultant in November 2012.
Previously Lauren has worked with the Stirling Management School, the Faculty of Health Sciences and Sport, the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. She is currently the Careers Consultant responsible for the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Lauren actively supports clients in their career planning on a one-to-one basis and through a range of comprehensive careers education activities.
Additionally, Lauren manages the University’s ‘My Stirling Award’ skills award programme which aims to recognise students for their extra-curricular achievements. Lauren is a member of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS), the co-convenor of the AGCAS Science Advisers Special Interest Group and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
