The University of Stirling regularly reviews its severe weather guidance and operational plans to ensure that we address the needs of the University community during periods of severe weather and help to maintain business continuity.
Students, staff and visitors to the University should note that in periods of severe weather the University will endeavour to remain open and attempt to run as normal. However, due to extreme weather conditions, certain facilities may have to operate a reduced service.

During periods of severe weather the University will endeavour to operate as normal and run timetables as scheduled. Some students may not be able to travel to the University due to the adverse weather conditions impacting on public transport and general transport networks.
During periods of severe weather some members of staff may not be able to travel to work, please contact your line manager in the first instance. Where possible and appropriate, and in agreement with their line manager, staff should also avail of the University’s agile working framework to facilitate homeworking where this is a viable alternative.
If you are attending any events or classes on campus, please check with the relevant Faculty or Service before travelling.
