Undergraduate Christopher Fraser-Lewis is the first winner of the newly created Abune Prize for Human Resource Management (HRM) students.

Chris, who is in his fourth year, received £1500 for having the best overall performance on the core modules of the BA (Hons) course.

The Abune Prize is funded by John Scott, a University of Stirling graduate and member of Stirling Management School’s International Advisory Board. Initially available for the next three years, the prize is for 3rd year students of the  BA (Hons) Human Resource Management course.

Chris (pictured, right) said: “The Abune Prize was a tremendous motivator for myself and my peers, creating healthy competition. I plan to use the prize money to help further my studies when I pursue a Masters degree next year.”

John, known as Jock, is a 1982 graduate of Philosophy and director of mediation consultancy Abune. An Honorary Professor, contributing lecturer and member of Stirling Management School’s Advisory Board, he also supports a scholarship in Stirling’s Department of Philosophy.
