Great prizes to be won in University photo contest
Photographers have just a few days left to enter the University of Stirling’s annual photography competition.
The closing date for entries is midnight on Wednesday 9 October.

The competition is primarily aimed at University students – but also has categories open to Stirling alumni and people studying at Forth Valley College.
Prizes on offer include:
- One weeks’ work experience at the Guardian in London plus a £1000 mobility grant donated by Santander Universities to cover all expenses (for the winner of the photo journalism category);
- £150 food and drink voucher from Birds & Bees Restaurant & Bar Stirling;
- University of Stirling goodie bags;
- £50 thanks to Projects on track;
- Meal for two with drinks and sides at Nandos;
- £150 High Street vouchers thanks to Sodexo;
- £50 John Smiths Books voucher thanks to on campus John Smiths Bookshop; and
- £150 Barrhead Travel vouchers;
A spokesperson said: “We’ve had some fantastic entries so far, but don’t want people to miss out. We’ll accept submissions up to midnight on Wednesday 9 October. Just visit our website www.stir.ac.uk/photography-competition.”
The winners and runners-up will be announced at a ceremony in the macrobert on 28 October at 5.30 p.m. The top entries will also be exhibited at the arts centre from 28 October for three weeks.
