Life as a Pakistani Student in Scotland

Entry and English language requirements

See the international qualifications we accept for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Please also check the specific grades and essential subjects required for your chosen course by checking our individual course pages.

If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of your English language skills. For a complete list of the English language qualifications we accept, including where we are able to waive an English condition based on certain local qualifications, please see our English Language requirements.

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/Intermediate, with an overall minimum of 75%. Applicants must have a minimum score of 75% in any essential subject that is required for the course.

We also accept applications from students who have completed one year of relevant university study.

We accept the following qualifications:

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree GPA of 2.6/4.0 or 60%;
  • 3-year Bachelor’s degree plus a 2-year Master’s degree with a GPA of 2.6/4.0 or 60% (in both Bachelor's and Masters);
  • 2-year Bachelor’s degree plus a 2-year Master’s degree with a GPA of 2.6/4.0 or 60% (in both Bachelor's and Masters).

Pakistan specific English Language requirements

Undergraduate: An accepted English language qualification.

Postgraduate: Pakistan High School Certificate with 60% or above in English PLUS evidence of a Bachelor's degree that was both taught and examined in English within the last five years. This is typically validated through the submission of a 'medium of instruction' (MOI) letter from a recognised university on the specified list below.

Applicants from institutions not included in this list can fulfil the English language entry requirement for their program through an accepted English language qualification.
