Psychology Kindergarten - childcare in Stirling

Welcome to the University of Stirling Psychology Kindergarten which offers childcare for children aged between 2 years 9 months and 5 years old. We welcome all children, including those of staff and students at the University and from the wider community.

We have an excellent reputation as a small, caring and nurturing provider of quality childcare. Our kindergarten provides a safe, home-from-home setting, with the needs of the children and their parents and guardians being addressed with care, sensitivity and flexibility at all times.

We’re now taking applications for August 2024 to June 2025.

We have our main playroom, and we also benefit from the extensive grounds on the University campus. Our outdoor classroom offers a great area for children to play, explore and connect to nature.

Research at the Psychology Kindergarten

Psychology research

Psychology researchers at the University conduct innovative and world-leading child development research and teaching. We help support this research using a variety of approaches with our researchers and children, ranging from observational studies and free-play paradigms. When you register your child, you can decide whether or not you are happy for your child to participate in our research activities.

As well as being graded ‘excellent’ by the Care Inspectorate for our quality of care and support, you can hear what parents and guardians think about the kindergarten, and the children talk about what they enjoy the most each day.
