Home Office visits

To ensure the University of Stirling maintains the high standards of compliance required as a visa sponsor under the Points Based System, we are subject to regular visits from the Home Office. These visits will be conducted by Home Office staff and will involve an audit of our policies and procedures.

When conducting an audit of the University, the team will review our existing visa policies and procedures, interview staff, and may also select a number of international students to interview. These interviews are required by the Home Office so that they can establish that we have sponsored you correctly and maintain responsibility for you. You should note that if you are called to meet with the Home Office that this request is not optional and you will be expected to attend.

The Home Office will give us limited notice for a visit. Therefore, you may, at short notice, be asked to attend an interview with a Home Office representative.
