Dr Deborah Keith

Deborah Keith has spent her career in the science and technology sector mainly commercialising research and development for agriculture internationally and domestically, most recently with Syngenta a global agribusiness.
Since leaving her executive roles she has been a non-executive director for a wide range of organisations from the complex and publicly funded to the commercial, from education to R&D, and from agriculture to aerospace.
Deborah is currently Chair of the Board for Redag Crop, a company researching innovative solutions for crop protection, and a Trustee of the Lawes Agricultural Trust.
Prior to this she was a lay member of Council for the University of Warwick and chaired the Board of James Hutton Ltd. Other non-executive appointments have been to the BBSRC, the James Hutton Institute, the Aerospace Technology Institute and the John Innes Centre.
Deborah completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Edinburgh and a PhD in plant genetics at the John Innes Centre. She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2020.
