Secondary Schools

The Art Collection welcomes school parties to the museum and art gallery.

The collections and displays are best suited to all secondary levels. Younger visitors are welcome but teachers or group leaders may wish to assess suitability for the group during an advance visit.

• Schools can book guided tours of the Art Collection by emailing art.collection@stir.ac.uk
• The Art Collection hosts the ARTiculation Prize Scotland and this year we are hosting Ambassador workshops, which train University students to deliver public speaking skills and deliver Discovery Days where pupils can learn more about entering ARTiculation.
• Each year in conjunction with Forth Valley College we run a portfolio weekend for all pupils studying S5 and S6 Art and Design. This weekend teaches pupils about portfolio building, interview skills and the criteria that colleges look for in relation to admission portfolios.
