Careers for researchers

Postgraduate research students and all staff have full access to the range of support available from the Careers Service. We work closely with our colleagues in the Institute for Advanced Studies to contribute to a programme of support, and regularly run workshops including topics such as Career Options outside of Academia, and CVs for Researchers.

All our Careers Consultants have experience working with researchers and we offer one-to-one appointments every day; these can be booked via TARGETConnect (PGR students should log in with their student details; research staff can register as staff). All graduates of the University of Stirling have access to the Careers Service for life, so we can support researchers at any stage of their career journey, even long after graduation.

We have developed a mini-site of careers information on Canvas specifically for research staff and students. You can also browse the other careers pages on the module, and throughout we signpost to relevant information and resources.
